WESA GRANTS PROVISIONAL LICENSE TO 100 THIEVES FOR THE REMAINDER OF SEASON 10 OF THE CS:GO PRO LEAGUE

ZUG, SWITZERLAND (8 NOVEMBER, 2019)

Effective 1 November, Renegades transferred their entire CS:GO roster to 100 Thieves. 100 Thieves subsequently expressed interest to take over Renegades’ license for the remainder of Season 10 of the CS:GO Pro League.

According to Sec. 1.3.2 of the WESA CS:GO Licensing Regulations, in the event that a given Team loses 3 or more players of its starting lineup, the WESA Executive Board is entitled to transfer the respective teams license to a new license holder (which could include the actual players leaving the pertinent Team) on a provisional basis for the balance of the affected Season.

Based on the above provision, the WESA Executive Board has unanimously decided to transfer the CS:GO Pro League license from Renegades to 100 Thieves on a provisional basis until the end of the season. 100 Thieves will compete in Renegades’ spot for the remainder of the season and all prior results of the current Pro League season remain valid. Renegades and 100 Thieves have been informed accordingly.

“With the License transfer from Renegades to 100 Thieves the WESA Executive Board ensures that a well performing roster may continue to participate in the Pro League under a new organization.  We are very pleased to welcome 100 Thieves to the CS:GO Pro League and are confident that they are able to maintain a high level of competitive play with their new roster.” said Pietro Fringuelli, WESA Chairman & Commissioner.
